Whole bunch maceration for 1-2 weeks. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in tank (70%), demi-muids (22%) and wooden vat (8%) for 9 months. No fining and light filtration.
Biodynamic farming. Single spur (guyot) and bush vines (gobelet) pruning. Ploughing. Leaf Thinning. Hand harvest.

Le Soula, started in 2001, is a joint enterprise between the famed Roussillon winemaker Gérard Gauby and Richards Walford Wine Importers. Le Soula is one of the estates that have helped create the reputation of the Agly valley. The estate has been organic since the beginning and is now biodynamic. Gérald Standley, who joined Le Soula in 2008, assures the day to day running of Le Soula. High up in the Agly Valley (at an altitude of between 350m and 600m above sea level) the estate is located on a site that offers great potential for making wines with the freshness and acidity imparted by altitude, while at the same time retaining a distinct southern French character. All their wines display finesse, elegance and complexity.
