Champagne Duval Leroy

Celebrating 160 years of a rich history, Champagne Duval-Leroy shares its successes.
From the top of the Eiffel Tower, on the Great Chinese Wall, at the Sidney Opera House and on Broadway, Carol Duval-Leroy, the most influential woman in Champagne, travels the world to share this unique know-how alongside her three sons.
The trailblazer and demanding spirit of their company allows them to be at the forefront of innovation, in order to achieve excellence.
They have created four universes marked by the same fineness, passion and precision, to offer you the best champagne at the best time.
“We don’t inherit the land from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children. Transmission and protection is the foundation on which our House has been built for 160 years. Our authenticity finds a modern echo in the new gastronomy which is turning towards more naturalness. This link is a daily inspiration. It pushes us to produce ever healthier champagnes, in search of absolute fineness.”

From 1911, when the vineyard classification became official, Raymond Duval-Leroy, with the desire to pay tribute to his predecessors, created an exceptional wine. He was the first to work on a Champagne which would bring together Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape varieties selected only from villages classified as Grand Cru and Premier Cru in the Grande Vallee de la Marne, Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs regions.
The Rosé Prestige plays on themes of harmony and seduction in a modern context.
Its bottle, with its bronze tints and delicate curves, holds a shower of pink-gold stars which has become a paradigm.
The delicacy of its bubbles, a string of fine pearls, escapes from the crystalline elegance of the airy neck of the bottle created by Carol Duval-Leroy.

Since 1859, Duval-Leroy family has been perfecting the quality of its non-vintage Brut Reserve, balancing passion with an aesthetic sensibility.
A special cuvée made by Paolo Basso, the 14th World's Best Sommelier Champion, he made his own assemblage from Duval-Leroy's Reserve Wine.
The vibrant bubbling and the aroma of ripe fruit is paired with brioche and roasted flavors. The silky foam blends perfectly with the overall balance, leaving a sentiment of hapiness for a long time.
Since 1859, the Duval-Leroy family has been cultivating exceptional vineyards on the edge of the Côte des Blancs, where the finest Chardonnay are grown.
This cuvee is the affirmation of what Duval-Leroy’s style offers at its best, sharpened by an exquisite freshness.

Development, enrichment and the protection of the environment is part of the Duval-Leroy ethic. Our Cuvee Brut*, an "ideological" wine, comes from vines cultivated with respect for nature. This cuvee has obtained the Ecocertt organic certification, meeting standards and specifications at an international level.
This champagne is presented in a prestigious bottle, designed exclusively for the House of Duval Leroy, ensuring even higher quality in the wine. The glass selection was made to protect the wine from the light and from gas exchanges, according to the very demanding standards of the House of Duval Leroy.
From a blend of the best grapes from the vineyards certified Premier Cru and Grand Cru and a careful dosage, this Cuvee shows what Duval-Leroy’s style offers at its best. Its gold yellow colour with silver tints carries fine strands of bubbles.
The cuvee Lady Rose springs from the spirit of innovation of Carol Duval-Leroy and the know-how of her Chef de Cave. The Great Family House, independent since its formation in 1859, offers an incomparable tasting experience to enhance desserts.
A Champagne for food lovers par excellence, Lady Rose delights champagne novices and connoisseurs alike.

Clos des Bouveries, overlooking the village of Vertus, is an ancient plot of land belonging to the Duval-Leroy family which enjoys a mid-slope position facing due east. This situation provides excep- tional conditions producing one of the earliest growth cycles in the area, and enriching the fruit with an intense concentration of flavour, giving a most favourable effect on the senses. The vineyard is cultivated in such a way as to respect a century-old tradition, greatly enhanced by the precision of our wine-growing methods.
The unique way we work in our cellars contrasts with the normal processes for making a single vintage cuvee, with Chardonnay as the single grape variety, partially fermented in barrels. Its pale gold colour demonstrates its depth: fleeting highlights, dew-drops resting on fruit which bursts with flavour. Following its full mousse and its delicate and regular ring of bubbles, the subtle bouquet of acacia takes over.

The passion of Duval-Leroy for authenticity is demonstrated in this cuvee made only from Pinot Noir. This Blanc de Noirs comes from a Premier Cru village in the Valley of the Marne, Cumieres, and is the product of biologically based viticulture*.
From the 2005 vintage, this wine for the true connoisseur releases a powerful bouquet, at once both balanced and complex. This aroma is distinguished by the concentration of the Pinot Noir vinified entirely in oak barrels to give it power and elegance. It shows a yellow colour speckled with gold.
The passion of Duval-Leroy for authenticity is demonstrated in this cuvée, made only from Petit Meslier, a grape variety all but forgotten in Champagne, with a limited production quantity. This robust grape thrives in clay soils like those in the Valley of the Marne.
The elegance of the Grands Crus Champagnes

This champagne is the witness of a great year: 1996. An exceptional vintage for the balance of wines. This great champagne is the result of work on the valuation of the best parcels of home supply in grand cru initiated in the early 1990s.

It's even more amaizing that it was disgorged this year. It means the champagne remained in cellar for againg since 1996! There is only 600 bottles inthe hole world!
