Tasting notes
It is a very dry wine with aromas similar to a white wine, and a tannic structure similar to that of a red wine. This first vintage develops in particular, aromas of citrus zest (tangerine, grapefruit), more spicy notes of liquorice and ginger with a slightly hoppy finish on a touch of bitterness brought back by the tannins.
Pairing
This is a wine to be enjoyed with a meal, with terrines, spicy and exotic dishes, fish with a spicy sauce. As a general rule, it goes well with dishes with a spicy flavour and which require a dry wine.

Winery Description
Not far from the Wine Route of Alsace, at the entrance of the Munster Valley there is the Wihr-au-Val hillside. Its altitude is 500m and the exposition is South/South-West. The granite soil and the extreme conditions of grapes cultivation on the Vosges foothill enhance the subtlety and purity of Alsatian grapes.
Native of Beaujolais Dominique met Henri at wine school in Beaune. Together they decided to perpetuate making wine in the 19 century 15 hectares family estate by building their own cellar. They are making Alsatian wines by following the principals of a sustainable farming with a deep respect of nature (green energy, long-term balance of the soil by limiting usage of chemicals, always keeping in mind the carbon impact when working the vineyard and selling the wines).
