Tasting notes

The nose combines finesse and generally sophisticated flavors of Pinot Noir (red fruit brandy) to the more rustic and mineral nature of gamay (peat and graphite).
The whole is a balanced wine, slightly tannic retaining a crisp side of ripe red fruits. Freshness and digestibility that does not tire the palate.

Pairing

We could confine him to shepherd dishes, during a picnic or barbecue, accompanying salads, sausages and grilled meats.

Winery Description

In 1850, Louis Tissot established an agricultural farm in Chignin with very few vines, which were cultivated for the family's personal consumption. After the Phylloxera crisis in 1900, a few vine plants were replanted, and they are still cultivated today. In 1950, Victor Berthollier (paternal grandfather of Didier and Denis) was among the very first to commercially bottle their wine; at that time, it was more common to sell wine in barrels and bulk.

In 1970, the Berthollier family played an active role in the creation of the Savoie AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée), and it was during this period that the estate transitioned to organic farming.

Today, Denis and Didier represent the 5th generation caring for this 11-hectare estate, producing wines of exceptional quality. Their white wines are characterized by their purity and delicacy, while their reds display vibrant fruitiness and a satisfying crunchiness.
