Winery Description
The family estate, with its origins dating back to the 14th century, is located in the winegrower village of Saint-Bris le Vineux, which dates back to the Middle Ages, and is surrounded by Irancy, Chablis, and Auxerre.
At the heart of the northern Burgundy wine region, in the Yonne department (less than two hours from Paris), the 30-hectare operation spans the municipalities of Saint-Bris, Irancy, and Chablis.
In 1979, the family business was taken over by Ghislaine and Jean-Hugues. They have always attached great importance to preserving the land, which led them to adopt different methods of cultivation. After several years of organic practices, a certification request was submitted to ECOCERT, and the estate obtained certification in 2001.
In 2005, their son Guilhem and his wife Marie, who share the same philosophy of respecting the land, joined the business and contributed to obtaining DEMETER's Biodynamic certification the same year.
For many years, the focus has been on working in a way that respects designations, consumers, the estate's personnel, and the environment. The estate skillfully combines tradition and modernity in its winemaking savoir-faire.
