Tasting notes

It has an attractive pale yellow colour with silver highlights. On the nose, a pretty bouquet evoking spring with notes of white and yellow flowers and a touch of fresh fruit such as white peach.
On the palate, it has a full attack followed by a long finish with a delicious taste of fresh fruit and a pleasant touch of freshness.

Pairing

It can be enjoyed in a wide variety of circumstances, as a light, refreshing aperitif, with snacks, seafood and all kinds of starters (asparagus, quiches, snails, etc). Perfect as an accompaniment to a cold buffet!

Winery Description

Not far from the Wine Route of Alsace, at the entrance of the Munster Valley there is the Wihr-au-Val hillside. Its altitude is 500m and the exposition is South/South-West. The granite soil and the extreme conditions of grapes cultivation on the Vosges foothill enhance the subtlety and purity of Alsatian grapes.

Native of Beaujolais Dominique met Henri at wine school in Beaune. Together they decided to perpetuate making wine in the 19 century 15 hectares family estate by building their own cellar. They are making Alsatian wines by following the principals of a sustainable farming with a deep respect of nature (green energy, long-term balance of the soil by limiting usage of chemicals, always keeping in mind the carbon impact when working the vineyard and selling the wines).
